Trailers of upcoming Hollywood Movies
The Spectre has risen, with the release of the first trailer for the next James Bond movie Friday afternoon.
The movie, the 24th in the Bond series to date, follows up on 2012's Skyfall and sees the return of Daniel Craig as the most deadly spy in the business, this time investigating a sinister organization following a cryptic message from his past.
Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci also appear in the movie, with Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista playing Mr. Jinx, an assassin the actor describes as "very well-dressed and very well-mannered."
The trailer reveals that the events of Skyfall loom large in Spectre, both in terms of providing the first step for Bond to discover Spectre, and also fueling his uncertainty with his place in the Secret Service. Whether or not this means that he could be tempted to become a double agent — something certainly hinted at throughout the trailer — remains to be seen, however.
Skyfall director Sam Mendes also returns for the movie, which shares a writing team (Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan) from the 2012 Bond flick. Production on the movie has been troubled, with Craig spraining his knee in early February, followed by a truck accident a week later.
